PBI Project: Smart Fitness Equipment

OBJECTIVE: Development of a new range of smart fitness equipment that is easy to use, safe and includes stress regulation mechanisms to increase the intensity of workouts, as well as an APP for training assessment and control.

OPEN CALL: Project in cooperation with the open call “Retos-Colaboración 2017.”

AGREEMENT: It’s a four-year project based on the collaboration of a consortium of companies, including Copele S.L.U, Equipamiento para Entorno Urbano S.L.U., Centro Tecnológico del Metal (CTMETAL) and Universidad Católica de San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM).

PHASE: 35 months (June 2018-May 2021)

1ST YEAR RESULTS: In this first year, the typology of the current fitness equipment has been analyzed and four completely new machines have been designed for physical exercise in the main muscle groups. Together with these prototypes, a mechanism of adjustable fitness levels has been designed to increase efforts made during exercise.
