The City Council of San Pedro del Pinatar, through the Department of Parks and Gardens, is carrying out the renovation and comprehensive improvement of several parks in the town, with the aim of modernizing and conditioning them for children’s enjoyment.
These works are being completed in the park located in front of the Los Pinos school, on Avenida Alcalde José María Tárraga, where all the playground equipment and street furniture has been replaced (including benches and trash bins). The park surface has also been conditioned with rubber flooring and artificial turf, and will soon be completed with new LED lighting for the streetlights.
Another park that has a new image is the Virgen del Carmen, where key renovations have been made for safety, as well as new playground equipment installed and other elements painted and repaired. This also includes replacing the flooring with a continuous rubber turf that has a design of brightly colored circles.
In addition, the Alcalde José Sánchez park in the Maspalomas neighborhood is also being renovated. Projects include the replacement and improvement of playground equipment, the fitting and painting of flooring, the restoration of street furniture and the replacement of LED lighting.
These works have involved an investment of approximately 40,000 euros and will continue to be carried out in other green spaces and playgrounds in the town center.
